Agroforestry for the win!
December 10, 2020Wao Kanaka
Agroforestry was practiced by our ancestors in Hawaiʻi and the pacific, as the main form of agricultural production. Agroforestry attributes multi-faceted benefits to ecosystems that go beyond providing food. We are working to restore these native, natural ecosystems.
1,000 trees were planted near the Kukaniloko birthing stones and have shown great success! This is the first step to ensuring our watershed will be restored along with bringing the rain back to this forest.
